The ROTARY CLUB OF ANDOVER was chartered
on June 7, 1995 with members who either live or work in Andover
or North Andover. It currently has about 58 members, and is
best known for:
- Creation and support of the S.T.O.P. anti-bullying program in an increasing number of Andover public elementary schools.
- Supporting Rotaplast missions to underdeveloped countries which brings life-changing plastic surgery to needy children with deformities (see our International Service page).
- Providing college scholarships to deserving
area students.
- Funding of summer Camperships for Andover children in need.
- Promoting book, food and clothing drives.
- Developing and mentoring an Interact Club
made up of Andover High School students who have instituted
such highly acclaimed programs as "Reader's Theatre" and
"Food for Thought" (see Interact page).
- Providing opportunities for qualified individuals
to study abroad.
- Developing and supporting the yearly Citizens Who Care Awards to promote community spirit and recognize deserving community-serving individuals.
- Providing area students with opportunities
for youth leadership.

Andover, like all Rotary clubs, provides opportunities for its'

Membership in Rotary
Rotary obtains almost all of its
new members by sponsorship from other members. Generally,
members come from a broad range of backgrounds and Rotary
sets limits on the numbers of individuals of any one-job classification
in any one club. If interested in learning more about Rotary,
