Legislative Update
Jun 16, 2023
Senator Barry Finegold was elected in 2018 to represent the Second Essex and Middlesex District which then included Andover, Dracut, Lawrence, and Tewksbury, a seat he previously held from 2010 to 2015. He currently serves as the Chair of the Joint Committee on Economic Development and Emerging Technologies. As a result of the 2020 census, the Second Essex and Middlesex District now encompasses all of Andover, Tewksbury, Wilmington, Merrimac and Amesbury, as well as large swathes of Haverhill (wards 1–7) and North Andover (precincts 1-6). Barry Finegold was raised in Andover and Tewksbury and attended public school in both towns. He played football at Andover High School and went on to play for Franklin and Marshall College in Pennsylvania. He graduated from F&M with a major in government and a business concentration. Once he returned to Andover, Barry ran for the Board of Selectmen, taking on longtime incumbents to win and become the youngest Selectman in the town’s history at age 24. A year later, he won election to the Massachusetts House of Representatives representing the 17th Essex District consisting of parts of Andover, Tewksbury and Lawrence. He was the youngest member of his freshman class of legislators. Working during the day and going to class at night, Barry put himself through Massachusetts School of Law in Andover and was admitted to the Massachusetts bar the same year he graduated. At age 29, he founded the law firm of Dalton & Finegold in Andover. He continues to work as a partner at the firm, which specializes in real estate, estate planning and corporate law. Barry’s law practice is not his only connection to small business— his wife Amy was a longtime small business owner in Andover, owning and operating Dresscode for 13 years from 2004 - 2017. When he is not running his business or legislating, you can find Barry coaching youth sports in Andover where he coaches both hockey and football. Barry lives in Andover with his wife, Amy, three children, Ava, Ella and Max, and the newest member of the Finegold family, Otis the bulldog." |

The Andover Conservation Commission aims to protect Andover’s natural resources in accordance with the state law and the Town’s Wetlands Protection Bylaw, Article XIV, and to act as trustees in perpetuity of the Town’s conservation land. As of 2021, there are over 2,200 acres of protected land that are held in the care and custody of the Andover Conservation Commission. This land is managed and stewarded by the Conservation Division, with the assistance of the Department of Public Works and a large network of dedicated volunteer land stewards. LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENTWe respectfully acknowledge that Andover conservation land has been established on the territory of many Indigenous peoples, who have stewarded this land for hundreds of generations. With gratitude to the Andover Center for History & Culture for their guidance, we acknowledge the harmful effect colonization and violent systemic and cultural inequities have had on our understanding of Indigenous identity and terminology. Andover Chiropractic Wellness Centre
Dec 08, 2023
My name is Christine Peck, and I am one of the support staff to both of our chiropractors – Dr. Peck (my husband) and Dr. Audrey (my ‘bonus’ daughter) at Chiropractic Wellness Centre. My official title is office manager and chiropractic assistant (CA). I love being part of the team that reaches out to our community and helps to educate everyone to the amazing value of chiropractic care. I was born in Mexico City to parents born and raised in England. At age ten, my family moved to California, where I lived, and then I graduated from the University of California, Davis, with a BS degree in Animal Science. I became an official citizen of our wonderful country when I was twenty-two years old! Even though I grew up on the West Coast, I have spent more than half of my life on the East Coast, and I love this part of the country – the true change of seasons and the hearty New Englanders. In addition to sharing the wonders of chiropractic with all of our practice members I love animals, and being part of an office that offers adjustments to both people and pets is perfect!
