Happy January to all! I am looking forward to returning to the Lanam Club this Friday as well as inducting two new members!
I am amazed by the Upcoming Events section of the Buzz! There are many opportunities for fellowship and service. I hope to see many of you at the events.
Whether your “jam” is chili, pizza, service, or world peace…there is something for everyone!
As Kevin suggested to us all last week to “find your Nigel” I am struck by the below MLK quote. Let’s all join in as we continue to do good for others!
Peace to all.

Lights, Action, Yaroslava for the win!
This month's competition was fierce — from holiday stripes and therapy pups to cartoon chaos and sassy slogans — but our special guest judge, Kevin Keller, and his adorable therapy dog Nigel had the tough job of picking the champ.
Drumroll… Yaroslava's brightly lit socks took the crown! Those glowing, festive lights stole the show and made Friday morning extra merry.
Huge thanks to everyone who rocked their wildest pairs and turned our Fridays into a sock-tacular party. You make the mornings so much more fun!
(And shoutout to Nigel for being the best co-judge ever 🐶
Our member Ellen Lux rocked a fantastic pair from John's Crazy Socks — a father-son business started by John Lee Cronin (who has Down syndrome) and his dad. Their colorful, fun designs spread joy, and profits support Down syndrome organizations and inclusion.
Way to wear your heart on your feet (or socks!), Ellen — inspiring us all!

Crown Reclaimed! 👑 Andover Rotary Rings Back to #1!
Great news, Rotarians — the results are in, and we’ve taken back the throne!
After seven years as the Lawrence Salvation Army’s top single-day non-profit fundraiser, we lost the crown to Free Christian Church last year (they pulled a sneaky holiday ninja move). This year? We crushed it with over $3,700 collected on December 23!
That’s right — Andover Rotary is back on top where we belong. (No hard feelings, Free Christian… much. 😉)
The bigger win: the Salvation Army smashed its $100K Red Kettle goal, raising $105K total. Every bell ring and generous donation helped families in need — thank you to our incredible members, families, and passersby who made it happen!
To our friendly rivals: great job keeping us on our toes. But this year, the crown returns to Andover Rotary. Game on for next December!
Service Above Self — and above the competition. Here’s to more giving and an epic 2026!
We sincerely thank you for being with us in 2025. You helped with humanitarian aid and projects. It is extremely important in difficult times to know that there are true friends nearby! You support not just the Rotary Club “Vinnytsia Initiative”, you support Ukraine with a huge list of problems – armed conflict, a large number of forcibly displaced Ukrainians, power outages, overcrowded hospitals and many others. And we have always felt your support.
We wish you peace and tranquility in your families in 2026, prosperity in your business, God's grace for your good deeds!
We hope for our fruitful cooperation in the future
With gratitude,
The Rotary Club “Vinnytsia Initiative” Team
