Newport Polo Outing a Winning Tradition

Our annual Rotary Club of Andover trip to Newport this year was a little smaller due to the late announcement, but what we lacked in numbers we more than made up for in fun and fellowship!

A special thank you to Mary Ann Millar for organizing another wonderful outing. The group enjoyed a beautiful afternoon of great company, delicious food, perfect summer weather, and exciting polo. To top it all off, Newport claimed the victory, giving us plenty to cheer about.

From the stunning setting to the outstanding hospitality, it was one of those days that reminds us how much we enjoy spending time together outside our regular Rotary meetings. Simply put—it doesn't get any better than this!

If you missed this year's event, be sure to look for the Newport Outing next summer. We hope even more Rotarians, spouses, and friends will join us for what has become one of the club's favorite traditions.

Can You Help?

President Ken is looking for a few good Rotarians to step up and serve.

We need:

  • Door greeters for our weekly breakfast meetings

And the winner of the the "Never Say No" Award Is ...

Our beloved Treasurer Don Gottfried—affectionately known as Past President Ann Ormond’s “Rotary Husband”—was presented with Ann’s “Never Say No” Award at last week's meeting!

Now that Ann is no longer President, the big question is… does Don actually get permission to say “No” now?

Congratulations to our 4th Scholarship Recipient ~ Ashley Goglia

At our meeting last week, we were thrilled to meet the fourth and final recipient of our four Rotary Club of Andover scholarships, Ashley Goglia!

Ashley is a graduate of Andover High School, where she was involved in the Becca Business Club, played on both the volleyball and softball teams, and served as President of the Interact Club.

This fall, Ashley will begin her freshman year at Bryant University, where she’ll major in International Business with a minor in Spanish.

Congratulations, Ashley! We wish you all the best as you begin this exciting new chapter. We have no doubt you’ll do amazing things!

Volunteers Needed at this Saturday's

Andover Farmers Market

This Saturday, our Club will once again be out in the community helping at the Andover Farmers Market!
For the past few years, Rotary members have volunteered as a group twice each summer to help make the market a success. And the best part? Volunteers don’t have to be a Rotarian to join us! Community members, family, and friends are all welcome to volunteer alongside us.
We still need a few volunteers to fill the final spots:

👋 2 Greeters: 8:45 AMHelp welcome shoppers and get the market off to a great start!
🧹 1 Cleanup Volunteer : 12:45 PMHelp with take-down and cleanup at the end of the market.

Come volunteer with us, meet some great people, and support one of our favorite community events!

Rotary Members Explore Andover History

A group of Rotarians and spouses enjoyed a fascinating guided tour of the historic Phillips Academy Cemetery (aka Chapel Cemetery) yesterday, led by fellow Rotarian and local historian Gail Ralston.

Gail brought Andover's rich history to life through engaging stories and insights about the individuals and events connected to the cemetery and our community. Participants were attentive and

enthusiastic throughout the tour, learning more about the people and places that helped shape Andover's past.

A special thank you to Gail for generously sharing her knowledge and passion for local history, and to everyone who attended and made the outing such a success. Opportunities like these remind us that learning, fellowship, and community connection are at the heart of Rotary.
