Highlights from the February Board meeting at the Andover/No. Andover YMCA.

Charitable Trust Committee: (FY budget $73,450)
The following grant applications received approval:
Weekly Meeting Location:  The Board is exploring options for a new weekly club meeting location closer to downtown and has received a proposal from The Lanam Club, which was the club’s first meeting venue when it was founded in 1995. On March 14th, we’ll hold our meeting at The Lanam as a "trial run." The cost per person to the club at the Lanam is the same as at our current location.

Club Bylaws & Charitable Trust:  Club Counsel Peter Caruso provided an update on discussions with the Secretary of State's office regarding the filing of revised bylaws. The Board will approve the Trust amendments and report back to the Club.

District Learning Assembly for all incoming Board members will be held on Thursday, April 10th at the Sheraton in Wakefield.

Financials: The financial statements were provided by Treasurer Elaine Clements and they are in good standing.
All Things Rotary

On Thursday, Feb. 27th, Gail Ralston and Jean Leider, co-chairs of the Andover Rotary Charitable Trust Committee, hosted an "All Things Rotary" gathering for new members Tamara Lindsay, Loida Vargas, Rich Rainville, Meredith Mondejar and Hicham Kedadry. The session covered topics such as "Rotary Basics," "Navigating the Andover Rotary Club," and "Your Future in Rotary."

Thank you Gail and Jean for providing a wonderful introduction of Rotary to our newest members.

Credit For Life
&  Career Day
 Tuesday, April 15th
Andover High School

Volunteers Needed!

For those who volunteered at this event last year, you know how rewarding it was to inspire and guide these students through a financial literacy exercise. This year, Credit for Life will take place from 9:15 to 10:45 am (arrive by 8:30 am) and will be for 11th graders (instead of both 11th and 12th graders). This shift to focusing on juniors will be beneficial as they begin to think about higher education and career options as they approach their senior year.

Additionally, there will be a new event: Career Day, from Noon to 2 pm, for 8th graders.

Volunteers are needed for both events, and one of the event coordinators will be visiting our club soon to provide an overview and answer any questions. If you’re interested in volunteering, please complete this confirmation form.  A volunteer sign-up will be added to our website shortly.
