Thanks to so many who have volunteered at our different community initiatives over the past weeks and in the coming weeks. The Rotary Club of Andover is alive and well in our “little next of the woods!” It is because of all of you that Rotary is the “go to” service organization in Andover and beyond. Check out our website for a listing of all volunteer opportunities!
I hope to see you all this coming Friday at our weekly meeting and then at night at Lois and Walter’s house for Bourbon and Fellowship after 5! Please remember to sign up on the website to assist with planning!

August is Membership & Extension Month
Celebrated by Rotary Clubs around the world in August. It's a time to focus on membership recruitment and retention, and to celebrate the club's members and the good they do in the community.
What we can do:
Invite people to join: Ask friends and business associates to attend one of our meetings, volunteer opportunities or social events.
Celebrate our club community: Attend club socials, re-engage with absent club members, sign-up to volunteer with our many volunteer opportunities.
Show off our impact: Whether it's volunteering at a local event or making a difference in our community, snap and share photos of ourselves and fellow members in action to spread the word about the amazing things we do! Send to Public Image Chair Diana Kiesel.

Serving Meals & Spreading Kindness
Thursday, July 24th
Big shoutout to our amazing Rotary Club members for volunteering at Lazarus House Ministries Soup Kitchen in Lawrence last week.
Their dedication to serving meals and spreading kindness makes a real difference in our community.
Pictured L to R: Rotarians Jean Leider, Mark Spencer, Jim Greeley & Al Ruthazer and Brother Jerry from Lazarus House.
The morning kicked off at 7:15 am with setup with an awesome crew including Jim Greeley, Al Timm, Ellen and Steve Lux and Antonio Calvagno, followed by Ann Ormond, Ellen Keller, Diana Kiesel and Gail Ralston greeting market visitors from 9-1, Elaine Clements and Steve Fink assisting at the Information Booth and wrapping up with Jean and Joel Leider on the clean-up crew. In addition to cleaning up, Jean and Joel delivered and placed all of the donated food in the refrigerators at the Village Food Hub at Ballardvale Church.
