Rotary Volunteers Support the
Andover Farmers’ Market

The Rotary Club of Andover extends a big thank-you to guest volunteers from District 7930 E-Club, Lori Becker and Tara Janosz, Andover Rotarians Don Gottfried, Steve Fink, Al Timm, Paul Salafia and his lovely wife, Margaret and friend of Rotary, Veronica Johnson, who gave their time and represented Rotary through service this past Saturday morning at the Andover Farmers’ Market!

For the third year, Andover Rotary has partnered with the Farmers’ Market to give its dedicated volunteers a well-deserved break on two summer market days. Rotary members step in to fill important staff positions, helping the market operate smoothly while supporting a valuable community resource.

The Andover Farmers’ Market, operated by South Church (UCC) Andover, welcomes approximately 1,400 shoppers each week. The market also helps make fresh, healthy food accessible to the community. Children receive a $3 market gift to purchase fruits and vegetables, while more than 30 SNAP recipients receive matching SNAP dollars each week to purchase healthy food.

We’re proud to support the Farmers’ Market and its commitment to bringing the community together while increasing access to fresh, nutritious food.

Service Above Self in action!

Welcoming a Third-Generation Rotarian

The Rotary Club of Andover was proud to welcome Joel Timm as our newest member in a particularly special induction ceremony.

Joel becomes the third generation
of the Timm family to join Rotary, following in the footsteps of his father, longtime Rotarian and Past President Al Timm, who proudly sponsored his membership.

We’re thrilled to welcome Joel and continue a wonderful family tradition of Service Above Self.

We look forward to all the ways he will contribute to our club and our community in the years ahead!

Rotary Leadership Institute NEA Annual Meeting

August 15, 2026 | East Longmeadow, MA

The Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) is a multi-district, grassroots leadership development program designed to strengthen Rotary knowledge and leadership skills. Founded in 1992, RLI provides Rotarians with a unique opportunity for quality education through interactive sessions led by trained facilitators, while encouraging participants to share their experiences and learn from one another.

District 7930 was well represented at the Rotary Leadership Institute of Northeast America (RLI NEA) Annual Meeting. Pictured above, left to right, are Jean Leider (Andover), RLI Graduate; Joan Arsenault (Ipswich-Rowley), Executive Director of RLI NEA and 7930 Past District Governor; Peter Majane (Reading), 7930 RLI Site Chair; Lori Karas (Peabody), RLI Regional Vice Chair and 7930 Past District Governor; and Gail Ralston (Andover), RLI Graduate.

RLI continues to provide Rotarians with valuable opportunities to build leadership skills, expand their Rotary knowledge, and connect with fellow Rotarians across the region.
