Coming soon ... a new Rotary Club of Andover community initiative called "Say Hi & Smile".

We're more digital than ever and often more isolated. Everyday face-to-face moments are disappearing. A simple smile or hello reminds someone they belong.

One hello can change a moment. Many hellos can strengthen a town.

Stay tuned to learn more about this new program. Questions and ideas can be forwarded to
Rotarian Sue Big.

A Picture-Perfect Rotary Texas BBQ!

What a wonderful day for a Texas BBQ with our Rotary family!

A huge thank you to Ellen and Steve for opening their home and hosting Rotary Club of Andover members, families, and friends. The weather couldn’t have been better—clear skies, comfortable temperatures, and, best of all, absolutely no humidity!

And then there was the food! Steve put his new smoker to work and stayed up all night preparing an incredible feast, including delicious beef brisket and smoked turkey. The BBQ was complemented by burnt-end baked beans, orzo salad, several corn and bean salads, potato salad, broccoli slaw, Mexican brownies, and more than we could possibly list. And, of course, there was even some “swamp water” to wash it all down!

With plenty of food came plenty of laughter, conversation, and karaoke. The kids had a wonderful time, too, playing together and getting to know one another.

It was one of those special days that reminds us that Rotary is about so much more than meetings and service. It’s also about friendship, family, fellowship, and the connections we build with one another.

Thank you again to Ellen and Steve for their incredible hospitality and for giving our Rotary family such a memorable day. We’re already looking forward to the next gathering!

Serving Our Community,
One Meal at a Time

Andover Rotarians Mark Spencer, Al Timm, Meredith Mondejar, and Meredith’s daughter, Claire, recently volunteered at the Good Shepherd/Lazarus House Ministries Soup Kitchen, putting Rotary’s motto of Service Above Self into action.

The team spent the day helping with food preparation, serving meals, and cleaning up afterward. Beyond the practical work, it was a wonderful opportunity to come together as Rotarians, support our neighbors, and make a meaningful difference in the community.

We are grateful to Good Shepherd/Lazarus House Ministries for the important work they do to help those in need and for giving our members the opportunity to contribute.

A special thank you to Mark, Al, Meredith, and Claire for generously giving their time and energy to serve others. Their commitment is a wonderful example of what Service Above Self means in action!
