The Terrific Trio at Lazarus House Food Pantry!
This past Wednesday, we were grateful to have Jim Greeley, David Lindsay, and Al Ruthazer volunteering their time and energy at the Lazarus House Ministries Food Pantry — thank you all!
 
Our next opportunity to volunteer at Lazarus House will be at their Soup Kitchen on Thursday, May 22nd. To sign-up, contact Jim Greeley.

UPDATE on the Ukraine Endoscopy Project for Vinnytsia Regional Hospital
 
Great news!  On May 5th, we were notified that the District Governor and the Global Grant Committee have committed $10,000 in District Designated Funds (DDF) to include with our submission to Rotary International.

From March 8 to March 22, a team from District 7930 traveled to the Philippines to volunteer on a District-sponsored Rotaplast mission. Among the volunteers was our very own Jean Leider, who will be joining us this week as our guest speaker to share her experiences. This mission marked the 20th anniversary of District 7930’s involvement with Rotaplast, an organization that provides free reconstructive surgery to children with cleft lip and palate conditions in developing countries.

Ellen, Ajita, Donald, Mary Beth, Eric, Amy, Martha, Susan, Shawna, Kristine, Mark, Buzz, Julie, and Sofia.
 
I honor and thank each of you that helped in so many ways, from selecting our honorees, spreading the word about the event, joining fundraising calls at 7:30 AM, soliciting a silent auction item or donation, helping with showcasing our numerous silent auction items, loaded in, loaded out, purchased tickets or a sponsorship, kept track of so many tasks, asked for in kind donations, told the story of Rotary to our attendees, greeted our guests, shot beautiful photographs of our honorees, and so much more…..Wow!  
 
In the words of sweet Sidney Mae Olson,
“it was the best day ever.”

Clown Town 2025 is this weekend!

Help promote our Club at Andona's Clown Town THIS Saturday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. We'll have a table near the Gazebo to share info and connect with potential members. We still need volunteers—two for each shift: 12–2 p.m. and 2–4 p.m.
