I trust that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. I look forward to seeing many of you this Friday back at the Lanam Club. I will pass around an envelope for those that would like to donate to our wonderful Lanam Club servers. We plan to present it on Friday, December 19th which will be our Club’s annual meeting where we will present the board for the 2026-2027 Rotary year and other important updates!

My heart is grateful for all of you that continue to serve in so many ways. Let’s finish off 2025 strong with helping where we can. Check out the upcoming volunteer opportunities in this edition of the Buzz and on the website.

Finally, I look forward to our Holiday Party at Mary Ann’s on Thursday, December 18th and Bell Ringing for Salvation Army on Tuesday, December 23rd!

Cheers to the best Rotary Club around!

This year, Giving Tuesday is TODAY. This Global Day of Generosity is an opportunity for all Rotarians to make a big impact with a gift of any size.  A donation to Annual Fund-SHARE supports projects we are passionate about, both here in our community and around the world. A gift to PolioPlus helps transport vaccines and immunize children to keep them safe.

The Rotary Foundation will recognize the top three clubs in fundraising, donor participation and online giving.  Will you help make our club on of the TOP THREE this year?

Three Special Good Shepherd Kitchen Volunteers
Friday, November 28th

As others rushed out for Black Friday sales, Rotarian Rich Rainville, his wonderful husband Joe Buonanno, and his remarkable mom Sylvia Rainville went after a far greater treasure: the joy of giving back.

The day after Thanksgiving, this inspiring family traded shopping bags for serving trays at Lazarus House Ministries soup kitchen in Lawrence. There they ladled hot meals, shared warm smiles, and offered real hope to our neighbors facing hard times.

This is Rotary’s motto “Service Above Self” lived out in the most beautiful way—three generous hearts choosing to show up and make a difference when they easily could have stayed home.

Rich, Joe, and Sylvia—thank you for showing us the true meaning of the season. You make our Rotary club and our entire community incredibly proud.
