In his new free time, he helps Nigel dedicate every other Tuesday to visiting senior living facilities and their memory care units in Andover, the Robb Senior Center, our town offices and even the DPW. Everyone can use a little therapy now and again. Nigel is often a fixture on Main Street during town events. He also supports many of our local businesses through his own personal Instagram page - @nigelatyourservice.
The power of a therapy dog lies in its ability to provide unconditional love and comfort, which produces measurable physical and psychological benefits, including reducing stress and anxiety, improving mood, and enhancing social interaction. Come say hello!

With more than three decades of experience in higher education, Dr. Glenn is passionate about helping all students achieve their educational goals and is a strong advocate for closing equity gaps, and for colleges and universities as engines of economic and workforce development, particularly in Gateway Cities. As president of NECC, Dr. Glenn has led the significant expansion of the college’s Lawrence campus, including construction of the $27 million Ibrahim El Hefni Health and Technology Center, the creation of the Haffner Fournier Education Center, and the development of “The Hub” with university partnerships and the award-winning Revolving Test Kitchen. Recently, NECC became the first college in the country to offer a competency-based associate degree in Early Childhood Education, and its police academy, one of the largest in the state, was the first to be accepted into the National Active Bystander for Law Enforcement (ABLE) Training Program, designed to prepare police officers to successfully intervene to prevent harm and to create a law enforcement culture that supports peer intervention, leading to safer communities. Dr. Glenn has been described as an “optimistic thought leader” who actively promotes higher education in a number of publications, on social media, and through his blog, “Running the Campus.” He has been nationally recognized for his advocacy with the Eduardo J. Padron Award for Presidential Leadership from Campus Compact; the Pacesetter of the Year Award from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations; and the SUCCESS Higher Education Leadership Award from the Presidents’ Alliance on Higher Education and Immigration. Jun 03, 2026 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM |
Four Points Sheraton |
The District Learning Assembly originally scheduled for April 22 has been rescheduled to June 3. It is the District grants qualification seminar, which trains Clubs on applying for in utilizing District managed grants in their communities and global grants throughout the world. Attendance by two Club members at the seminar automatically qualifies a Club.
The assembly provides motivation, networking opportunities and specialized training to strengthen Club administration, service projects, membership and annual grant qualification.
Key Reasons for the Importance of District Assembly:
• Leadership Development: It trains incoming Club Presidents, Secretaries, Treasurers and Committee Chairs, equipping them with the skills needed for their roles.
• Strategic Alignment: Participants learn about the new Rotary International President's theme and the District Governor's goals, helping align local efforts with global initiatives.
• Networking and Exchange: It brings together Rotarians from across the District, fostering fellowship and the sharing of new ideas to make Clubs more effective.
• Foundation and Project Training: The Assembly provides essential training on the Rotary Foundation, grant management and youth protection, enabling Clubs to execute successful projects.
• Club Success Factor: Full representation and participation in the district assembly are often key predictors of a Rotary Club's success for the year.
The training is generally geared toward incoming leaders and Committee Chairs to prepare them for their term, ensuring a smooth transition and increased, sustained impact at the Club level.
Registration for June 3rd will be available soon on the District 7930 website. Cost $45. A great introduction to Rotary for all new members!
Meeting location for June 3rd: Four Points Sheraton, 1 Audubon Road in Wakefield.
