PLAY it forward, Andover, Pickleball and Special Olympics

Gale Murray lives in Andover, Massachusetts, is an active member of three non-profit boards and recent retiree of American City Business Journals.  While at ACBJ, Gale held several senior leadership roles including Vice President of The Business Journals and Publisher of The Boston Business Journal. The base of Gale’s non profit work is focused on movements of people creating a new world of inclusion, support and community, where every single person is accepted and welcomed and through mentorship is given the tools to thrive. Gale is a board member of Special Olympics Massachusetts, SCORE Foundation and Junior Achievement Massachusetts. She is also a mentor for JA at Esperanza and Lawrence High School. 

Gale’s business experience in sales and management includes strategic business planning, relationship management, marketing and new business development. She has been a strong advocate for local business through her years of work at The Business Journal’s, where the reporting, research, events and mentoring were primarily focused on open doors for entrepreneurs and small businesses. Gale holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and business administration from Purdue University and spent 40 years in publishing, starting her career with Dow Jones prior to The Business Journals.
