Lazarus House Food Pantry (aka St. Martha’s Food Pantry) supplies healthy groceries to over 1900 families each week. The Pantry offers a dignified shopping experience, allowing choices and greater independence and planning.

On Mondays, Volunteers help unload food delivery truck, and may help stock shelves too.

2nd Monday of each month...with 4-5 volunteers from The Rotary Club of Andover

(On Holiday Weeks...usually the Tuesday or Wednesday AFTER the 2nd Monday...depending on when they get their appointment from the Greater Boston Food Bank)

Help Fight Food Insecurity in Our Community

Food insecurity continues to affect many individuals and families in Andover and throughout the Merrimack Valley.

Our community partner, Neighbors in Need, is looking for volunteers to assist with its weekly Food Pantry at the Robb Center, 30 Whittier Court, Andover.
This food drive is held weekly on Thursday afternoons (Help from 3:45-5:30).

Volunteers are needed to:

• Carry food boxes
• Move food using carts
• Staff the food distribution tables

Your time will make a real difference for local families in need.

Andover Rotary's own Paul Mercandetti will share his experience on Honor Flight. 

Honor Flight Network is a national nonprofit organization comprised of independent hubs working together to achieve the Honor Flight mission. In furtherance of this common goal, we have the enormous privilege of showing our nation’s veterans the appreciation and honor they deserve.

Participation in an Honor Flight trip gives veterans the opportunity to share this momentous occasion with other comrades, remember the fallen, and share their stories and experiences with other veterans. Honored veterans always travel free of charge, thanks to generous donations to our organization.

The Good Shepherd Soup Kitchen at Lazarus House provides freshly prepared hot meals for more than 300 people a day at breakfast and lunch sittings.  Volunteers serve food to the individuals who stop in for a hot meal and socialization.

The Pantry offers a dignified shopping experience, allowing choices and greater independence and planning. Volunteers distribute food at a specific “station”.

1st Wednesday of each month...with 4 volunteers from The Rotary Club of Andover

Lots of standing.  LIght lifting (No heavy lifting required).

Sharon Marrama is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Connor’s Kindness Project, where she has grown a small grassroots effort into a regionally recognized
nonprofit serving thousands of children across New England. With vision and compassion, she developed CKP’s programs, the Kindness Kits and the Be Kind
Challenge by building strong partnerships, guiding volunteers, and inspiring communities to act with kindness.

Sharon’s leadership has been key in sustaining growth, expanding impact, and creating a culture that uplifts children facing adversity.

Come celebrate the holidays with us on Thursday, December 4th starting at 5:30 pm at the home of Mary Ann Millar in Andover. Rotarians and their guests are warmly invited. Please note that this is an adults-only celebration.

Appetizers and dinner buffet will be provided.  If you would like to bring a dessert or beverage to share or need Mary Ann's address, please email Diana who will be coordinating incoming fare.

We will also be collecting unwrapped gifts for kids and teens and canned food to benefit the Andover/No. Andover YMCA who generously offers meeting space throughout the year for our Club. An Amazon Wish List is coming soon.  Gifts from the wish list can be mailed directly to the YMCA if preferred.

Paula J. Vogel is Vice President and Chief Philanthropy Officer at Historic New England,
where she leads the organization’s philanthropic strategy and comprehensive campaign
supporting preservation, collections, education, and major initiatives including the
Historic New England Center in Haverhill.

Paula has more than two decades of experience in philanthropy, advancement, and
nonprofit leadership. Prior to joining Historic New England, she served in senior
advancement roles at Merrimack College, the YMCA of the North Shore, and Suffolk
University. She is also an attorney whose practice focuses on estate planning, trusts,
and probate.

A first-generation college graduate, Paula has spent her career connecting people with
institutions and causes that strengthen communities and create opportunities for future
generations. She brings together her experience in philanthropy, education, law, and
community-based organizations to help advance Historic New England’s mission
throughout the region.

Come learn more about Andover WECAN who strives to prepare the community to lead and flourish in a sustainable future. They work to educate residents on steps individuals can take to reduce their climate impact.

As chapter of the Massachusetts Climate Action Network (MCAN), Andover WECAN joins community chapters across the Commonwealth that share a commitment to reducing climate change and a passion for a sustainable future. This network is made up of local independent organizations who believe that community-based climate solutions lead our commonwealth and our nation to action on climate change.

Katelyn Ackerman, holds a master’s degree in social work and master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Merrimack College and is a License Certified Social worker (LCSW). She previously served as a clinician for the police departments in Bedford, Lexington, and Lincoln, where she gained valuable experience working collaboratively with law enforcement to support individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. Katelyn has been with the Andover Police department since July 2025.

Katelyn responds alongside police officers to calls involving mental health concerns and substance use. When appropriate, she conducts crisis evaluations, provides immediate support, and helps connect individuals with the resources and services they need. Her role focuses on providing compassionate, person- centered care while helping individuals navigate difficult situations and identifying opportunities for ongoing support. Through collaboration with officers and community partners, Katelyn works to promote positive outcomes and ensure individuals receive appropriate care and assistance.
